PLOT-->The story begins with Goku, who seeks out upon his adoptive grandfather Grandpa Gohan's dying request to find the great Master Roshi and gather all seven Dragon Balls. Of which he has one, in order to prevent the evil Lord Piccolo from succeeding in his desire to use the Dragon Balls to take over the world. And Goku's quest is to obtain the mystical Dragonballs before Piccolo does.

new in the community

Well to start with i am the new member in this community--- I am rahul from india (south india).
I fantasy anime and me in to a lot of other stuffs like gaming,music,astronomy etc.Now i am an engineering student (mechanical engineering).My life is getting so hectic due to academics but still me get some free time when me watch anime ,play games and all.
Coming to the anime part of my character,i love anime but me does not read manga.Some series i still cherish in my heart are "dragon ball z","full metal alchemist","naruto" etc.Now i started watchin "deathnote".I will make much posts as me can in this blog but me dont think me will be able to go beyond 4 per week as my academics getting harder and harder and lot of exams comin in.The most bad thing about my university is that we dont have much holidays and all.

Samurai Champloo Anime Review!

Samurai Champloo is an interesting series, because it is not always good in the traditional sense. The simple plot revolves around Fuu searching for the Sunflower Samurai, but more often than not, the goal is completely abandoned for several episodes to go on some silly excursion. Where Samurai Champloo is very strong, however, is in evoking certain moods; stylistically, Champloo is incredible, but because there were a few extremely strong arcs, I don’t think you can say that it was a case of style over substance.

Some people will say that the episode of the anime were good, but a few of them were bad. Samurai Champloo is that kind of series that needs to be enjoyed for what it is - a loosely related string of stylish vignettes. Expecting plot-driven episodes from Champloo is like demanding high continuity between Azumanga Daioh -unthinkable!

Death Note: Banned by People's Republic of China

Early in 2005, school officials in Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province (People's Republic of China), banned Death Note. The immediate cause was that students had been altering notebooks to resemble Death Notes and then writing the names of acquaintances, enemies, and teachers in the books. The ban was designed to protect the "physical and mental health" of students from horror material that "misleads innocent children and distorts their mind and spirit". Jonathan Clements has suggested that the Chinese authorities acted partly against "superstition" but also against illegal, pirate publishers of Death Note. The ban has been extended to other Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Lanzhou in Gansu Province. Legally published Chinese language versions of Death Note are published in Hong Kong and in Taiwan.
