Bakuman!

Ever thought of being a manga-ka? Want to have your own manga?Me?Oh yes...Being a manga-ka is my childhood dream!I`ve always wanted to be a manga-ka and publish my own manga!I love reading manga...The characters drawn in manga are completely different from western comic. Oh gomen!gomen!I wasnt supposed to talk about my childhood dream here...heheh.. Bakuman!A manga introduced by fellow cousin, classmate and blogger; Shin-no-suke last year(Thanks bro!:P)!

Bakuman is a manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and drawn by Takeshi Obata-sensei!Yes I am a fan of all Takeshi Obata-sensei`s manga;Death Note, Blue Dragon Ral Grado, Hikaru no Go & Hello Baby!Bakuman follows talented artist Moritaka Mashiro and aspiring writer Akito Takagi, two ninth grade boys who wish to become manga-ka.

Plot(Taken from wikipedia)

Bakuman follows the story of high school student Moritaka Mashiro, a talented artist who does not know what he wants to do with his future. One day he draws a picture of Azuki Miho, a girl he is secretly fond of, during class and forgets the notebook at school. He comes back to find that his classmateAkito Takagi is waiting for him with his notebook. Takagi tries to convince Mashiro to become a mangaka, a manga artist, with him, only leading to Mashiro's disagreement. Mashiro goes home and thinks about his mangaka uncle, who had only one successful series before he died in obscurity. Mashiro is interrupted by a phone call from Takagi, who says that he is going to tell Azuki that Mashiro likes her. Mashiro runs down to Azuki's house to find Takagi waiting for him. Once Azuki comes out to meet them, Takagi tells her that he and Mashiro are aiming to be mangaka. Mashiro then learns that she wants to be a seiyū, a voice actor, and has shown promise in the field. Mashiro, once again thinking about his uncle, accidentally proposes to Azuki. She accepts. However, she will only marry him after they achieve their dreams. In addition, they cannot see each other until then.

Bakuman is a very interesting manga(as expected from Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata-sensei). I can see some improvement Takeshi Obata-sensei`s drawing in this manga. Its perfect for everyone(a MUST READ MANGA!!) who wishes to become a manga-ka. There`s a lot of reference from other manga as well(You can see Akito Takagi referring to Death Note, another work by Takeshi Obata-sensei in Chapter 1!)
